Founded in August 1997 by John Thompson & Rod French as “The Grand Falls-Windsor Living Interpretation Project”; Another Newfoundland Drama Company Inc.’s Theatre Program has grown to be recognized as a quality Newfoundland & Labrador Experience.

Mandate

To Develop, Produce and Promote the Arts. To establish and maintain a theatrical product in Grand Falls-Windsor, while offering students of theatre and music an opportunity to practice their craft, work with professionals and earn money to continue their education.

The Company?s first production; The Price of Paper, written by John Thompson, premiered August 4, 1998. In 1999 the company began providing a Dinner Theatre experience; and for four years was associated with the Soirees & Times component of the province?s Special Celebrations. This connection granted the group access to a mass marketing campaign targeted at tourists. It also presented the opportunity for the their popular dinner menu and entertainment to be adjudicated annually by such people as Master-chef Bill Donnelly and Newfoundland entertainer Kelly Russell.

In 2001, for the Marconi Celebration, the company brought a piece of Grand Falls-Windsor radio history to life with the War World II radio show “Atlantic Serenade.” The show toured the island that year, stopping in seven communities between St. John?s & Port aux Basque.

In 2004 the group was featured on the NTV tourism travel program “Beyond Your Back Yard”. The theatre company has enjoyed annual growth and has delivered more than 600 performances while providing summer employment for more than onethree hundred individuals. In their role as theatre ambassadors, they have welcomed thousands of people from all over the world to Grand Falls-Windsor. Today the company performs three times per year, with a March Concert, the eight week summer run and a series of Christmas Shows.

Another Newfoundland Drama Company is an incorporated not-for-profit community service organization administered by a volunteer board of directors.
